Car Hire

A note for 2010:-

2009 saw an extreme shortage of vehicles in Menorca. Demand far out stripped supply as car companies had bought less stock due to the global recession. With us, you do not pay for the car hire until you pay the balance of your holiday accommodation 10 weeks before departure. We would urge customers therefore to make their car booking at the same time they choose their accommodation. This will ensure your car booking is confirmed and reserved for you, for your 2010 holiday.

We have an exclusive arrangement with a well-established, family-run, local car hire company in Menorca. They are friendly, efficient, reliable and offer all-inclusive competitive prices to our clients in Sterling. Upon arrival at Mahon airport, a representative from the car hire company will be waiting to meet you after baggage reclaim. Payment is made to GW Villa Rentals with the final payment for your accommodation. Drivers must be aged 23 years or over and have a full current driving licence. Baby and booster seats are pre-bookable, at a per week cost of Eu 15 and Eu 8 per seat respectively - payment is made for these items on arrival to the local agent.

Air conditioning is standard across all ranges.

Rates include VAT, comprehensive insurance (only exclusion applying is damage to wheels and/or tyres), airport pick up and drop off. In some instances we can also arrange local delivery and collection to your villa or apartment (excl. Mondays & Fridays, as airport arrivals/departures prevent this), unlimited mileage and extra drivers (up to a maximum of 3 drivers in total). Cars are supplied with a full tank of fuel, which is charged for on arrival - payment can be in Euros cash, Visa or MasterCard. No refund will be given for unused petrol. Please note that whatever time the car is collected at, it should also be returned by the same time on the last day of your rental, otherwise you could incur an extra day's hire rate.
